They're not in any particular order which is probably a good thing as I can claim that the scarier pictures are all from my 'learning phase'.
Looking at them now, the common theme is a combination of unexpected finds (those suede thighboots, that mad orange fake fur jacket, those impractical black patent heels) and magpie thievery of fashion faux-pas. A lot of these styles, outfits and photos have come about after something unusual has caught my eye and I've spent the next few weeks trying to work out where I could get a dress just like that one. Sometimes it's easy - a cool outfit in a magazine, or noticing some great boots worn by a passer by. Sometimes it's a little more complicated, seeing the latest fetish fashion on a website or at a club and then trying to track down the supplier. Just as often though it's almost impossible as I spot a fantastically imaginative costume in a music video with almost no hope of finding anyone who produces anything remotely similar.
I've just realised I need a stylist.
There aren't many pictures of 'normal' casual clothes - I have enough of those when I'm doing the boy thing. There aren't many pictures of cocktail dresses or sexy suits, not because I don't like them but because they're so hard to get right. The papers and magazines crucify Kylie or Beyonce if they step out in a dress that doesn't look just right, so what chance do I have?
Now that ebay has come along, some things are easier - shoes, wigs, earrings keep forcing me to buy them. Unfortunately I'm not sure if my makeup skills show any sign of improvement. All I can say in my defense is that at least my lipstick and eyeshadow don't clash thses days.
